Like most car fans we had heard many recommendations fo Shannons so had interesting talk to Shannons today.
As a result we insured a 75 kombi we have just restored/refurbished for $10,000 at a very good premium.
Would also be happy to insure our 72 280E.
Most courteous and prompt. Sent them pics and details and quote confirmed and will be in mail tonight.
Obviously all premiums won't be the same depending on driving and claims history.
WA is also different than most other States due to Third Party personal being included in registration fees.
Campers may be a bit different than a bus or van but still talk to them.

Our bus bessie is insured with shannons, i tried every where else and could only get them to insure our girl for 1600 bucks at a cost of 250 bucks a year. thank god for shannons. Some people have hiccups on the way, but if you have a kombi, perservere its worth it. just keep trying them till you get the right deal. it seams you have to keep trying till you get the right person, for what reason i am dumb founded, its the same company. our bessie is insured with Shannons for 6 grand and with my 65% no claim bonus. I paid 5700 for her , and our shannons bill is 267 per year at the moment.
if you bus aint insured, then go to shannons, mmm wonder if they will give me discount for this plug. Serious though, they seem to know what kombi people are about.
wow, i sound like a shannons sales person, but im not.

also try GIO, as long as its over 31 years old there classic insurance is a pretty great deal. they are also very reasonable to under 25yo drivers and modifications. _________________ Its Coming

Just insured Klaus with Shannons, no probs, also got the wagon covered with them too as it's current insurance expires this week and having more than 1 car covered reduced the premiums.
Very helpful and nice lady. _________________ Di

We can also vouch for Shannons having a 73 Bay , 74 SC and a 72 Beetle all insured with them.
The general tip is if you come across a stumbling block when you ring, try again another time as it may be just the person who you dealt with. So many times the second phone call has resulted in success.
Cheers

I am Insured with Shannons for an agreed value - no hassle, they did want to see my bus, but only lived around the corner from them then. I have been with them for about 4 years now. They are in Burswood if anyone didn't know.
They where very friendly and helpful, definately give them a go!

Many may have noticed that Shannons are supporting
Kombis on Kampus/Aircooled on Avon so when you phone for a quote
remember to tell them you are a Member of KK
