Looks to be around a 70-71 model judging by the rear guards.... Good score!

Good find, long way to go though, sounds like you had fun fixing the probs on the way. That's just the start hey!

It was a long way to go, but a steal.
It was a mates, when it packed it in up there I said i'd go and save it.
It has a 40DCNF webber on it a 009 and theoretically an "1800" (Not sure of exact capacity) It will be interesting to see what size it actually is.
I bought it also as a Matador service vehicle. As the Matador I have in WA needs parts taken to various reconditioning shops and until saturday I have only had a motorcycle to cart things around, the Kombi seemed to be a useful addition.
The Matador is going well. I was driving it around while i started stripping it but now it's too stripped to be drivable. I've taken everything out of it and it's now ready to remove cabin from chassis. I've had the rear brakes redone, but its still being dismantled ready to live again.
If anyones really bored on weekends and wants to have a look at the beast I go down every second week or so for the weekend and get to work. |

Matador - I think it is time for you to start a Post of your Project! We want progress shots. - Perhaps in Splittie Section (as it does have Split front window) or members pictures... _________________

I was wondering where to put it. It is a split window of sorts.
I have a few photos of the strip down. I'll put them on the computer and load them up. I've got a few drives on youtube if you search for "Tempo Matador"
It's a single cab, It had a massive box on the back that you can stand in though, with 4 doors and 5 windows. I've taken that off for the repair and to get straightened. |

Had a look at the clips on Youtube.
What a classic, great score.
Was chatting with Peter Arnoldi today and he was talking about how his oldman was a Matador guru.
He thinks he still has a box of Matador special tools kicking around somewhere too. _________________ Kinga |
