HI i'm not sure if you've heard, but if you are a syncro owner or know a syncro owner please pass this info on, its the death knell for syncro's from VW!!
every month vw produce a NLA list, no longer avaliable, last months list was very bad news for syncro owners as they have discontinued the needle bearings, 1st gear, 1:5.4 crown and pinion, and diff lock bellows,
the bearings can be sourced else where, no worries
diff lock bellows can be "other" sourced and modified.
the crown and pinion are the common ones used in all the telstra vans and the oz bound syncro's (inc mine) this is a problem.
1st gear is unique to the syncro, removing this item (which is ALWAYS damaged) will mean the end for the syncro gear box.

the glimmer of light on the horizon is that ALBINS have said they will consider making a batch of gears and crown and pinions IF theres enough interest. give em a shout and ask em for these parts, even if you dont know what they are!!!
