There are quite a few pop tops around with a tie down strap or two missing.
Windy day like today, going over the bridge at 80km/h, probably wouldn't take much to lift it off. _________________ Kinga |

I once forgot to strap our poptop down (I was chatting while lowering it), and it decided to go up on a highway at top speed... the kombi behind us had a real fright! but managed to alert us before it came completely off... the mechanism is now twisted and will (eventually) need to be replaced. I now always double-check the straps.
It is indeed lucky that this poptop (apparently) didn't cause any harm. I hope it wasn't raining that night. _________________ ....Woz

i used to have a bedford dormobile in the uk and the roof vent hatch blew off at about 60 mph. went with a real bang and it suddenly got very windy! took a moment to work out what had happened!
