The VW auto transmission is a hydraulically operated 3 speed transmision with torque converter.

1st 2.65:1

2nd 1.59:1

3rd 1:1

Reverse 1.8:1

Torque ratio 2.5:1

Stall speed 1900-2100rpm

If you require kickdown speeds for your model -1700, 1800, 2000 please post.

All parts are still available and complete parts for overhaul ex Germany are around $AUD625 subject to exchange rates.
