This special split started a bit of discussion so I gave it its own Page. Ugly, or cool, or both, it certainly is different!

I know that everyone probably thinks what a shame to have butchered what was probably a good spilt. But back in the day when it was done it could have been a situation where it would have just been used as a hay shed or it already had a fair amount of panel damage which back then meant it was worthless to most people and on its way to the scappers. So someones made some radical and probably practical changes just for how they wanted to use it back then. But now it's probably just better to leave it Rat, enjoy the practicality and the fun of its wild mods & look.
I'd keep it just as is, now its done |

I love this thing! It is amazing! It looks soo dam mean! How could you not enjoy driving that!
As to the slaughter of a previous kombi, agreeing with Phat Bus on this, plus, a kombi is about expressing ones self, making it individual to suit you. Sometimes that is stock standard, other times it a little different.
Fact is, its still a kombi, that someone has put a lot of effort into and is still driving around rather than letting rust in a corner. _________________ Cheers

| That's incredible! I understand people wanting to restore their kombi to original specifications... But that's one damn individual ride! |
