Having similar problem myself-using copies of orginal Sopru hinges     and having fun getting angles correct.
Are yours original or aftermarket?

Liam,
I have the just kampers hinges and am having similar problems and I downloaded instructions. Can't seam to get the back of the seat angle correct always wants to sit less than 90 degrees.

Good luck with the sizing and stuff.

I found instructions on the Samba site , Not sure if they have any for those hinges but it is worth a try.
Kombi Club had a link I think.
