Both cars are on concessional licence, which means they can only be used on Club runs or for testing purposes.

Both vehicles could be put on the road with "normal" rego, but that would cost a fortune. As it is, concessional licence is very cheap. Cars on concessional licences have to be tested by the Clubs every year and the tests follow very strict guidelines put out by the Dept of Infrastructure. (Licencing body in WA) A car on "concessional" wears another licence plate above or below the normal one, that reads "veteran" or "vintage" or "post-vintage" or "historic" depending on the age of the car.

The Chrysler has done local runs as well as a couple of long trips (like to Albany twice) but the Austin Seven has only gone to the Classic day at Whiteman Park in March this year so far.

I keep my Kombi on normal licence as we like to jump in it and go wherever we feel like, whenever we feel like it!

This is Basil.

He is a factory original 1997 Mini Cooper with EFi, full leather interior and air (yep all factory).

We use him daily and regularly drive him up to Sydney and back.

Great little cars- we had MK11 Cooper S 1275cc and went like the proverbial.
Also had 1071 cc Downton works Mini racecar with locked diff. Built originally for Rallycross in UK.
Swapped it for Charger and it was used for Speedway in country.

, we have 6 regos, but if we were back in the UK pre 1975 vehicles were free (if they havnt changed that yet!) so we would only pay for two Smile

At the risk of boring you all, I have attached a photo of Lady Penelope Austin of England. She is a 1950 Austin A40 tourer, making her a mere 58 years old.

I bought the car from the original owners estate in Melbourne in 1972. She has never been unlicenced in her life.

I used her for very many years as a daily driver, but nowadays, although on full licence, she only goes out on Club events. Lives with the Kombi and Millie and Amy and one other.

Had to go for a sensible car as the alternative (But that means I get to drive the bus everyday, until I can find another old car to drive)
So here's some of the ones I had but couldn't bring over.

This was the first real taste of fun
street sleeper Thames 300e van. Running 3.9 rover V8, volvo rear and MG front end. I regret getting rid of all of them, but this one the most,
it was uncomfortable as you had to lean forward to drive, it was cramped and very hot, apart from when it rained, then your feet got wet (a bit like the bus)

I swapped this for the '66 stock single cab. This was my daily when I met Clare, i think she knew I was going to be trouble.....

Then swapped the SC for the beetle, on our first weekend away, to my brothers wedding, we camped, first at an official site, then for 10 hours waiting for a recovery truck under junction 13 of the M4.

So here we are today, the split is mine, and Clare has the other car. At least this one, apart from one hiccup (rear diff) is reliable!!!!! Confused

Time to start looking for the new project Cool

Well, we have one for sale at the moment....2001 AU Falcon as there's no room in the shed anymore since we bought the kombi.

By the way, my other car is a beetle!
