Howdy KK crew,
We have a 74 Campervan for sale. Reason; 3 kids and only 2 seatbelts in back. We have had this bus for 15 years with all of our service history in a little book. This includes every oil change, usually 3500kms, replacement of steering box, Engine reco, New Clutch, Brakes, all the usual stuff on a 35 year old bus.
Compression is 145 all round, engine had a reco, 50,000 since, and I enjoy changing oil and filters, she blows very little smoke and is running really well. Mech Adv dizzy,
Has been kept under carport for last 12 years, original paint works except where weather and road miles have exposed the metal, gave Front and cab roof a touch up this summer.
Issues.
Has had some rust under windscreen due to leaking seal, have treated and filled holes but a resto would cut and weld, did not notice this til lifted floor mats, all wet and surface rust, treated, but reqs seal replacement. $200
Has scratch on windscreen.
Front seat needs reco, $300
Needs seal on rear window
Needs 1/4 window frame replaced, I have one here, and seals reqd
New shocks could be an option, but it is brick shaped so...
Has rip in front panel of poptop canvas, my fault I was over enthusiastic on a pack up. Fibreglass is excellent, hatch has crack.
This bus would be tops for a round Oz trip, has original bed and cupboards, all fine, has provision for 2nd battery, and fridge. Has excellent jack, from years ago, roof racks rear and front that provide for poptop,
I am asking $4800, I dont know if this is too much, but this bus averaged 3000k PA last 10 years, it is not perfect, but very clean and neat, so if you goin to Broome and beyond, man it is keen, ( so long as 90kmph is your idea of travelling ) love the lifestyle
