THE KOMBI KONNECTION

Hi all i'm a recent addition to this forum, I'm traveling australia with my partner and we have always wanted a Kombi so we decided to travel Oz in 1 however the exhaust is a bit rough and to buy 1 brand new is too costly for my budget at the moment,

If anyone has any hidden away plz drop me a line. Thanx

I'm also interested in upcoming events and parts meets as we will be traveling down WA and round to the east coast.

Hi Gav,
WElcome to the forum and hope you are enjoying W.A.
If members can't help you could try Bill at Volkswest or Auto Europe.

They are listed with details in Recommended Repairers etc....
It would also help if you advised type of engine, eg 1600, 1700, 1800 or 2000

Hi I think I met your partner at the veggie place at Wanneroo! I was in the navy and white kombi with rudolph antlers! Small world. Hope you get your exhaust sorted soon, where are you off to next?

Thanx for the infomation Brookie.
Called Auto Europe and they were very helpful and hooked me up with a genuine Kombi muffler at a very good price, and looked at my heat exchange and advises me to repair it as it aint worth replacing yet.
Eric even came in on his holiday to sort it out.

Yeah it was us in the veggi place car park.
We tried GolfWaggon but no one seemed to be answering the phone after the new year when we had the money sorted to get an exhaust.
We just got one Sorted now though.
Were planning a trip down south and round to the east coast and should be setting off by the end of next week hopefully.
Shame i didn't get to have a look at your Kombi but the christmas shopping was a little too much for me, I don't do shopping usually.
