My wife her daughter and I went on a short 3600 mile trip from Calif. to Nebraska to attend Bustoberfest, the annual camp out of the Buskatiers. I put new 27" tall tires and an new Weber carb on Roadcow in preparation for the trip. I'm happy to say the Bus performed like a champ. Got over 22 mpg with the Toyota engine with the new carb at 70+mph ( I was trying to average 65 mph on the gps for the whole trip but only got 63.2). Here is a picture outside of Winnemucca, Nevada after our first night on the road.
I had to play a bit.
We saw some beautiful scenery in Wyoming on the way.
We got there 2 days early so stayed with my friend Matt in his 100' x 60' tin shed. It has Air Conditioning and heating on one end.
It rained and hailed the first night in that shed and was it loud, but I slept very well knowing that we were safe inside.
We caravaned 100 miles to Indian Cave State park and picked up a few other Buses along the way.
Once at the park we set up camp and proceded to relax.
It was a great 10 day trip and we'll be doing it again next year.

Yep, great pix of a fantastic-looking trip!
Your kombi looks great, I love that offroad pic... the matching kombi/caravan combo is also impressive!
Thanks for sharing them with us, it looks like it would have been a lot of fun (and a trip to remember!)
