Spiders can be dangerous though most will avoid contact if they can.
At least when you look at old VWs or any cars that are of the "barn find" type spiders and webs are a good thing- they don't live in wet places.
The 56 splittie we rescued some years ago had moss on the outside but was full of spiders and even an ant's nest so minimal rust.

We found this redback behind Alice's number plate... we often encounter them around the house - they have set up a large nest in the pantry.

They are a nasty spider- won't kill a healthy adult but can make you very sick and not good for young kids or dogs Sad

Dose of carby clean will help

My partner was bitten on the face by a redback when he was working in the roof space of a house (he's a sparky... or WAS a sparky  Laughing )
He reckons it's very painful, and he could feel the venom pulsing through his face with every heart beat (which would have been understandably fast at the time). There's no scar like there could have been if it were a white tail, but now I'm the one who deals with spiders in our house.
