A camper conversion from the late 1950's was done by a company called A.B.Wilkinson. This is the conversion in my 58 Camper ,the Paddle Pop.
The package was sold as an official VW accessory and I have seen the same conversion on a T2 in SA. I have attached some photos of the sales brochure covering the conversion. I dont have any further information on A.B.Wilkinson at the moment but am doing further research.
I think they stopped production in the early 1960's

Sounds great, interesting layout... very intriguing, good luck with finding out more about this "caravanette"!
(I wonder where you fit the horses? )
