Hey Conor, I mentioned this in another thread... but this weekend is the Muresk meet (Kombis on Kampus/Aircooled on Avon) - there will probably be a couple of kombis for sale there; it would also be a great opportunity for you to look at various kombi fit-outs/features and decide exactly what you are after...

Good luck! Smile

Hi conor..i guess it depends on how much money you have to spend, whether its cash or credit too...If you are looking at a camper thats basically needing nothing done to it then you could be looking at around 7to 10k(reckon thats a fair price guys?)  I bought my bonnie sight unseen from ebay for 4k and have spent around another 7k i think..wish i kept better records...shes not a camper though and was an empty shell but i am happy as a pig in shyyte..I am happy to actually spend money on her without grumbling..

Not sure if you get down to Freo often or not, from Parry street, take a drive up high street towards the Leach highway, about 2 minutes from Parry is a purple pop top kombi for sale, parked in front of the church there. Wink

Now we know why you operate from a UK server.

Perhaps Dad better come to Muresk.

Lifes a lot more cruisy if you avoid major pitfalls.
Like the folks already said . Educate yourself long time before buying. Get really aquainted with kombis and the folks that already own them before laying down the cash.
You can spend heaps more doing up a dud that may have seemed alright than what you originally paid.
Be real slow with the purchase and enjoy the lifestyle more as you will have some cash in your pocket and free weekends to go cruising
Good luck
cheers
