Thanks guys! I cheat and only buy the ones with little rust. Yes I do all of my own work, paint, body, engine, and interior. I just don't trust anyone else to do it and really can't afford to pay anyone else to do it. It can be very theraputic for me also. I love a challenge. It also gives me a good excuse to buy more tools!

1963 SC, Turquoise, On the road - New South Wales. Placed second at VW Nationals Sydney 2005.
Currently off road to be fitted with IRS and Brazillian 1600 engine.
