Sanka is home, and will get better. He's on vitamin K for the next 4-6 weeks.
We're very grateful to have him back home with us.
He'll not be going in any yard but ours from now on!!
Good news- Murdoch has some great facilities but expensive-though you you can't put a price on your pet's health

Ridiculously expensive!! I have no idea how we will pay this back, any work on the kombi is being put off even longer now...
I was a little concerned that all of the vets and students called him "her" and "she"... he's not been sterilised, and there is a very good reason for the term "sticks out like dog's balls"!!
Our beautiful border collie x kelpie pup Sanka was killed on the weekend. He was nearly a year old.
He was hit by a car in the carpark of an off-lead exercise area (stupid young girl hooning around the carpark) and bolted, we spent 2 hours looking for him, we finally found him on the side of a road quite far from where he was hit originally. He recognised the kombi and ran out onto the road to come back to us, he was hit again by a car traveling very fast. He was thrown across the road and died in Liam's arms on the side of the road about 30secs-1min later. It was horrific. We're very upset.
So sorry to hear of your loss. We met Sanka at Dwelly when he was only a little fella... such a cool pup.
We had a young cat that tried to cross a four lane highway and got hit by an eighteen wheeler one morning on his way home after being called so we can understand what you are going through.
Such sad news we feel your pain.
