Here's Charlie. 8 Yr old sulphur crested cocky. Favourite food is cheese and strangers fingers.
when she gets in the kombi she starts dancing around non stop( thats why the picture is a bit blurry), then when the engine starts up and we get moving she won't stop talking, has to say 'hello' to everything we pass. Funny thing is she doesn't do it in any other car. Definitely another kombi fan. _________________ I don't know why, I just can't help it.
Our 4 month old puppy Sanka has spent the day in ICU at the Murdoch Veterinary Emergency Centre.
He ate a rat bait when he got out of my Dad's backyard on Friday.
He has had a blood transfusion and a plasma transfusion and will spend the night in ICU on IV fluids. He was so very ill, and the vets weren't very confident he would live. He seems to be out of the danger zone now and has stabilised. We're so thankful he's still alive and is on the mend. We aren't in a position to pay for this treatment so my generous Mum has offered to pay the ridiculously high vet bill, which has meant the difference between him getting the treatment he needed to live and us choosing to put him to sleep.
We've had a rough day waiting for the phone to ring but we're so glad he's ok. No one is more pleased than our daughter, they are best friends.
Sanka is home, and will get better. He's on vitamin K for the next 4-6 weeks.
We're very grateful to have him back home with us.
He'll not be going in any yard but ours from now on!!
