I'm trying to get my hands on some straight bay kick panels. I have a '71 with very rotten old panels. And I'd like to cut some new ones.

If anyone has theirs out of the car at the moment, please contact me and i'll nip over and draw a line around them to use for a template for mine.

Thanks very much

Craig

I have some bare kick-panels that I haven't yet installed.... if no-one closer is able to help, I could probably trace them onto some paper (but it would be easier if someone more local steps forward...)

Thanks very much Woz, we'll try and get some locally but if all else fails a set of paper templates would be a great resource to have laying around.

Hi Craig,
I have quite a few here but will have to check model- lowlights are different than late bays.

I actually think the ones i have are later model ones. They have the pattern i need but don't really fit very well.

Did you have a '72 Brookie?

I have got a LH non original from a 70 and some RH 72s - still waiting for 70 to come back from paint shop.
Lowlights left one is different to allow for air/heat handle in centre- slight difference in tops can easily be adjusted from later bays if you are using MDF.
If you have originals and they are basically complete but bent or twisted, remove original black pvc/plastic facing and put on flat surface and hose until compliant. Flatten and put weight on until dry-this will give you a good template to trace straight onto MDF (3mm)

My plastic is terribly warped and broken as well. I tried that and it didn't work well. I think it was primarily that the ones that were on the bus were not correct to start with. I

I think i have it sorted though, i have some universal ones. I'll mix them with the ones with headlight holes that are all broken and see if i can sort them out.

I picked up some thin 3 ply from bunnings as MDF is terribly weak. I'll tell you how it goes.

Hi Matador,

I have just bought a set from Bus stop for my 1971, Bay, low light.
Not tried to fit yet. ( had the same trouble trying to trace an old warped set.)
Welcome to contact me and trace a patten, etc.
May be a good reference for future.
I Live in Forrestfield, &
Work in Welshpool

If any use give me an email
