Have had my 74 kombi, her name is cymbidium Suave or cymbi for short (Thats an orchid) for 20 odd years now. She is at present in need of some rust cut out around front window and new seals (bogged one at moment as Ex left me no money to afford new ones) There is no other rust as I have always had it cut out. Hoping, as new year resolution to do the rest of jobs and then respray her again. The last time was over 20 years ago. Engine was recond two years ago and the inside is a mess which I like as she is my daily car and work horse. She has been such a reliable car and other than a rubber fuel pipe perishing and an accelerator cable breaking has never broken down. Even on these occasions I was still able to get home. Bit of a pain at the moment as the winder mechanism and door lock broken on drivers side, but hope to have replacements next week. My kombi is the only car I ever intend to own as I just love it. My other passion though is Triumph and I have recently treated myself to the Bonneville, yes you guessed it, her name is Bonny lol
Why do I name my toys? GOD KNOWS! _________________ www.musicswapshoppe.com
