How times have changed in terms of safety... look at where the fuel tank is!!!  Surprised  Shocked

If the force from a head-on impact didnt kill you, then the subsequent dousing in petrol and fireball would probably send you off pretty quick!

Looks great - keep posting pics

Sam

Yeah, i saw it some tome ago, looks quite straight. Whats more it has the toggle piece I'm missing. If anyone could ask the owner if i could have a look i'd appreciate it. I have a friend who can cast me a new toggle if i can get a latex mould for him.

It's a great shame it is stuck there.

It is a shame but we're sworn to secrecy.  I'll send someone a PM who know the guy...it is a long shot though, will let you know

PS what's a "Toggle"

The bit on the switch that does the switching.

I have the rest of the semaphore switch mechanism but missing the bit you grab a hold of. I'm no switch expert though so it may have a real name.

Hey.

I spent the weekend at BVF in the Malverns and bumped into someone i no that has three Matadors, one being a panel van.  He informed me that he has just bought another two with Nos parts from Austarlia, hope they were not from Perth.

Need to clamp down on the exporting of such nice vechicles imo.

I think I know where one of them comes from, but they are definately not mine.

I've heard the guy in the UK isn't planning on restoring them- There was the claim that it was the only Matador panel left in the world, but there is one in tasmania.

It has been bought by a guy in NSW though- who already has 3.

My two are very safe from export.

I just put a high lift kit on it on the weekend, what do you think?

Really i've just seperated the chassis from cab, and taken the doors off.
In fact the rust did most of my work for me.

The door handle mechanism is very difficult to get out. I'm not sure if it's even possible.

I had to go and buy a new gear puller for the steering wheel- 1 day of beating it with a hammer and wood didn't budge it.

High lift kit...... Laughing

Its always the little jobs that take forever....a day whacking your fingers and thumbs, swearing loads or 2 minutes with a puller....

Good to see your getting stuck in.

More pics please.....  Razz

Graham
