Hi Kyra, he is going okay at the mo, couple of things still to sort but the kombi bank account has ran dry. The dog had his first trip in him the other day and sat on the floor at my feet, not exactly safe driving practise but he looked so comfy. _________________ Di

Klaus is a fairweather Diva,I'm convinced of it and almost chopped his bits off today in despair.
We had a klaus trip planned today, I had promised my friends little boy and he was sooooo looking forward to it. We had planned the park and beach but it was piddling down so plan B was in action (dunno what that was though). They only live 5kms up the road so off we went, started no bother, piled everyone in and surprise surprise he wouldn't start, tried for ages, had a coffee, tried again, still nothing, just not firing up, massaged him with that water repellent stuff, still the same. Gave up went off out in their pajero, had a worrying morning fretting about Klaus, came back (not raining anymore) and he started first time. Wahhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Indie got his little trip though as I took him for a jaunt and he was very pleased, thought it was great fun.
It had better not rain at Muresk or we'll be stuffed. A battery operated hairdryer to dry him off could be an option!! _________________ Di

Are you still having that problem of your engine cutting out after a run? Read something about this happening to people and the problem being to do with the fuel pump rod getting stuck.
If it is still happening let me know and i'll explain what i mean. You never know! _________________ Cheers

Basically, it maybe this problem, but who knows, its an easy fix to try if you wanted?
The fuel pump has a plastic pedestal that it sits on, and this pedestal goes into the engine, in the middle of this is a metel rod that goes up and down. When the engine gets hot the metel rod and rubber expand, and it gets stuck, stopping the fuel pump working, and pushing fuel through.
Often happens when you stop after a journey, and then won't start again.
To fix, all you need to do is take the fuel pump off, just two bolts, take the rod out and the plastic pedestal and then sand down the shaft a little so its slide up and down better. Then you can put it back together. Easy little job. I can get pictures if you want or someone might be able to do it for you.
You never know.
