wodyareckon about this sandblaster?....been lookin for a sandblaster, what do you think about this one?....

Sounds OK and their advice is OK- avoid sand- walnut shell is great for no damage and then beads which I think there is a good range apart from glass. Garnet is probably cheapest and as they say will last longer.
When I was thinking of rebuilding a couple of motors I was going to get a cheapy cabinet one from Supercheap that I could do heads and other alloy/mag castings. You can also do valves ,pistons, rod etc with right medium

There is no doubt having the right tools make a difference. My son ended up with all the tools I wouldn't need anymore
Since then have bought a few good things but when you can buy GMC, Hayden etc cheap enough that if it does the right job and then dies you can through it away.
Have seen 253 Holden V8s timing covers done with baking soda in small sandblaster after welding them up-just like new.

ha...lucky son!!!...my old man just sold all his good stuff ......
just wish i had 3 phase here......the good welders and air compressors would live here then

garnet is the way to go peter as brookie said. have done lots of industrial blasting in my time.
