WA DoVW Eve CruiseIs anyone interested in cruising on the Sat night before the DOVW?
Meet up in Kings Park and cruise to Freo for a feed or whatever.
Might be the start of a tradition!!!

welcome dave........post some pics of your bus......am interested to see what happened with the donk prob......was it a cracked case?

Seems the case isn't cracked. The motor is coming out as we speak to relocate the cooler and filter, so I will have a real close look see when it is on the floor. I think the oil problem was residue from when the filter dropped it's bundle on a really cold morning in July and sprayed oil all over the engine bay. I've cleaned it 3 times but that stuff sticks around and shows itself once the engine bay gets nice and warm.
Should be back on the road for the Vic day of, but if it isn't I'll survive.

6:00 or 7:00 would be good, still daylight for the cameras, and early enough to get to Freo for dinner eh?

How far is it from there to Freo?
Too short a trip no good, too long..boring!

Variety of routes including following the river or highways or across to coast and down that way past the best beaches in Australia.
I can't come -also Kombiless at moment but I am sure some one will step up.
Be idea to decide on venue to meet at end of cruise as many live south of river

All I know is Freo is Freo, I've been there twice and liked it both times.
Just because you don't have a Kombi, shouldn't rule you out. Do you want to hitch a lift with us? My mate lives in Kallaroo, you could meet us there and we will drop you off at the end of the night. There will be some spare seats with him, he's got a beetle and his wife has got a 76 camper.

hi, meet at kings park sounds good. will have a chat to some kombi owners over the weekend to discuss ideas on the meeting point at the end of the cruise to chat, have a drink and alike, somewhere we can all park up together, suggestions welcome. happy to help with organising something. dave. 0402 607552.

ok heres what i reckon. meet up at kings park in the carpark near the war memorial 6-6.30. leave to go cruisin at 7pm. head out through the city and down to the river front then head out to the coast down through cottesloe and into freo through the main st and maybe meet up in south terrace for a coldie. any deviation to this route or other suggestions welcome. dave.
