Looks like 20 plus including a round Australia Kombi and it will be great to hear their stories.
Don't forget you don't have to bring a Kombi- ours won't be mobile by then and there will be quite a few others still working or still trying to find "their" Kombi.

UPDATEHave spoken to Freemasons Hotel, which is historically listed classic heritage hotel and they have allowed Kombi Konnection permission to park Kombis on adjoining block. This is opposite Cola Cafe.
The Freemasons is well known and popular with tourists and groups as well as local community.
They do very nice counter lunches as well as refreshing drinks.
This link has details of hotel , photos and map
I will add photo later today or tomorrow.

| Diddlie wrote: | | Will we be able to park non kombis if we stick one of the flyers in the window? |
Basically for Kombis as there should be plenty of other parking but should be OK if we keep Kombis to the front.
I won't have one mobile either.
Next time you should have yours
-----------------------------------------------------
|
Diddlie

I'm going to make some name tags as suggested by Riley on KK so we will all know who we are talking to, or who to talk to if someone is looking a bit lost (that'll probably be me!)
Yes hopefully I will have the Diddliebus at the next meet (don't make it too soon ha ha)
|
Brookie
|
Sounds good Diddlie- I think I had some stick on tags somewhere as well.
The parking for Kombis is grassed and will display them nicely. I suppose we should let the splitties take pride of place in front row
Toodyay could become like some of the ES venues for Kombi and other VWs.
Just imagine next time

Still haven't managed to get photos of parking/display- my camera was not co-operative so waiting on daughter who had new one and will download once she learns to drive it.
Thanks to Archeress we hope to have Kombi Konnection stickers available.

ONLY ONE MORE SLEEP-
Sunday weather forecast in Perth to be 30º and Toodyay similar-no rain expected.
Roads should be fairly clear as the unlucky people who don't have Kombis will be watching the Air Race

Can we get a final location and time to meet up as I have invited a couple of other friends but want to tell them where to meet to cruise up there?
|
Brookie
|
I think from previous posts that the Caltex Service Station on Toodyay Rd just off Roe H'way is the proposed link up point. It is on right about 200 metres after crossing rail line from memory.

My eldest has managed to wriggle out of it and scammed an invite to the air race with his friend. Honestly, my brainwashing isn't quite complete!

Update Toodyay 29º and sunny.
If any cruising a photo of Kombis coming up Red Hill on Toodyay Rd would look great.

Back from Coffee Meet early- Westair couldn't make it due to dreaded "lurgy" she is just getting over.
40+ including kids -19 Kombis in car park and a few came without Kombis.
It was a great day and to see a dozen or so Kombis inclding Splitties, Lowlights, DCs, bus and poptops arriving in convoy down main street abd turning corner in front of Cola cafe and Visitors Centre was classic.
Some photos coming up.
