The Auto One Classic Car show March 2009Hi AllEdit: March 15th, 2009 is the date for the Auto One Classic Car show held Annually at Whiteman Park. This event has never got the turnout it deserves by us Dubbers in the past. VW Club is requesting the old area back for next years event. This allocated space would easily house up to 100 (VW) vehicles - I say "LETS FILL IT!" With this much notice there is no excuse......this is the biggest car display event in WA, with over 1000 vehicles. Who fancies displaying/participating next March? |

As BJ says it is the biggest car display in WA and it is amazing the cars you get to see. I am sure some only come out of their garage for this one event.
It would be great to see VW and expecially Kombis be the most representative marque. ------------------------------ |

I went to this event last year and was dissapointed to see only a handfull of v-dubs , not a kombi to be seen... so count me in

Do you trust any of the other members to drive for you? Do you know many/any IRL? I'm looking forward to seeing some prettied up kombis (and I'll be checking out the minis too). I'll be leaving my love in the carpark because she's a bit too much of an ugly duckling for a car show. |

Richard Hines of the VW Club is coordinating this event. At present he has 30 tickets (spaces) which will initially be offered to VWWA Members.
Contact Richard on 9342 8703 or email administration@vwclub.asn.au I hope that all 30 spots get taken....if you are not a VWWA Member still show your interest.

Would it be worth us putting Brigit in? Even though her paint is cracked and crappy? Do the cars need to be show cars? Will ours be an embarrassment to kombi-kind? | ||

I have contacted Richard although I am not a member of the Veedub Club. If there is a spare space, I will bring my '71 Campmobile along. I live very close to Whiteman Park, so it's no real big deal to bring all three cars in!!!
