Gabbo's Run

Warren, i just said to cathy how good her dads bus would look next to these 2 fine specimens. I have to try an sell it for the old boy. its a bit harder to try and work out when he lives 550 ks away. I just spoke to him actually and he said if you have to go to 1800 bucks  to help that would be ok. i just said some one will be interested when they get around to it. i just dont want to give out his phone number as there are people out there that would take advantage of a 77 year old. I cant find the pics in my puter other than the ones when we went and seen him 6 months ago or there abouts. but im sure who ever are interested have seen these pics. i think.  Laughing

Still waiting too

Hi Rod,

Yes I am still waiting for my first ever Kombi to arrive from S.A.
Took it to the guys in Dry Creek on the 19th and they said about 10 business days. I called them on Thursday last and they said she was still in SA at the yard ready tom come over on a train. The suspense is killing me. Will she arrive in one piece??
Who knows yours and mine might come over on the same train (or trasnporter) to WA.

Cheers

maybe you should have fixed the exhaust and drove it home. In a Rod convoy.   Smile

I know what you mean about the suspense,Im sure it will be worth the wait, then the work starts, getting it to the standard I want, which will probably be ongoing, but I guess thats all part of the Kombi charm!Shocked

Hi Rod,
There is a Lowlight and Late bay section which sets outs most of info
Some internal pics may help

Sopru was first company approved by VW in Australia to convert campers.
You may have sticker inside or on glass somewhere.

If you need any help or info send me a PM. I am in Waikiki. Watch out for a bright Orange Kombi with "Daisey" plates.

There must de a dozen or more Kombis in the local area now.
We need to make the effort to get them all together.

hope you get it all sorted out for rego mate. dont forget the first thing need to be the imobiliser.
Keith D

I didn't need an imobiliser for my '71 Low lite when I re-licenced it a few years ago. I think that if a vehicle is more than 25 years old, it doesn't have to have one in WA. Check it out with the Dept of Infrastructure beforehand.
