What we discussed was the fact that when thinking of purchasing a non-register vehicle it does not have a Safety Certificate with it like registered vehicles.
One way to ensure you don't take away a lemon is to organise a Master Inspection through the RACQ for about
$220 for members
$240 for reciprocle members like the RACWA or RACV interstate
$290 for non-members
The vehicle would need to be dropped off at a RACQ Vehicle Inspection Centre for the entire day 7.30am - 5.00pm where it would undergo a Master Check which means being put up on a hoist
Air Conditioner
Body and Interior Condition
Brakes with all wheels and drums removed
Cooling System
Electrical
Engine and visible engine components
Exhaust
Road Test minimum of 8 km
Steering
Suspension
Tyres
Under body
Just some information that people did not know about.
Cheers
Brett
