Our new addition... DaisyThis is Daisy, our new addition to the clan. This time a working VW instead of a work in progress VW like Gilbert is.
We are now her 3rd owner after she was owned by the original owner for 35 years before he passed away and then by a friend of his family until now.
Came with the original books and she's in fantastic condition.

Thanks everyone.
Would love to try and get her down to a meet sometime. Hopefully she can make it that far
Yes, they are Dundas plates. Unless we end up getting some custom ones to go with her then I think they will stay that way, or maybe source some old Kalgoorlie (KMC) ones.
I will get some interior shots of her tomorrow, and with the poptop up as well.
One things I forgot to mention is she is a '71 bus.
Before we got her, we were even considering a name change.
Jack is the other name we were considering, which is actually after the old guy who originally owned her down in Norseman.
For the time being though, she will stay as Daisy and we will see what happens.
We are keen to restore her sometime in the future so we are open to ideas on what we can do with her. Please feel free to lend some advice.
At this point though our money is going to be spent on her brother and getting him out on the road.
Thanks for the heads-up on the Sierp conversion, that was a new one I hadn't heard of before.
Any other info that anyone can give us from the pics we post of our current Kombi convoy would be appreciated. After reading on here over the last couple of month about various conversions, model numbers etc etc it has been quite an education.
Cheers.

Hi Mac,
That's a lovely looking camper in magnificent condition. It is the same model as mine. There seem to be very few Sierp conversions around. Any chance of some piccies inside???

Hi there MacTavish,
that is certainly one of the neatest 71 campers I've seen. Specially if it's unrestored. I don't know what you mean when you say you are "keen to restore her". What is there to restore? Any mods will devalue your bus.
There's only one thing I spotted straight away and that is the aerial has been relocated from the front left corner under the windscreen to on the drivers side behind the drivers door. Bit unusual. Other than this it looks very mickey mouse
Did Daisy come with log books? If so, I'd be checking the original rego number indicated in the log book and see if it is the same as the current DS.1330. Very cool if it is and value adding too.

By restore her I mean by fixing up some of the older things inside the bus. Most of the restoration work will be on Gilbert as he needs alot of work done to him.
I don't think alot of Daisy's interior is original as the carpet is new but it wasn't installed properly, plus there is lino underneath.
I believe the bench seat is from a split and I'm not sure about the age of the rock and roll seat in the back.
Seatbelts are all original though and by the looks of it all the dash work is original apart from the shelf underneath which I have seen for sale on the Bus Stop website.
The paint on the outside has had a few home repairs done to it so we were eventually looking at getting her paintwork redone sometime in the future.
She has original books and the DS plates were her original ones.
Thanks for the input everyone. Much appreciated.
