Loose bolt from motor/gearboxHi all
I am somewhat mechanically challenged, so need some help with this situation. i was having trouble with my clutch where the pedal lost its spring and was only 1/2 engaging. I had a good look underneath and as i was checking to see if the wing nut on the end of the cable had come loose, a 7cm bolt fell from that area. it looks like the bolt had been stuck somewhere near the arm that pulls down for the clutch to work, hence restricting it from fully engaging. i am glad that the clutch seems fine now, however, not sure where the bolt is from. my (ignorant) guess is that it was probably helping to hold the gear box on or the engine in place.
Any suggestions?
With the next question being:Does anyone know of any good reasonably priced mechanics north of the river (so i dont have to drive too far) that can help diagnose and put the bolt back safely where it belongs?
Thanks
Paul C

yep, ya right....the bolt is one of the engine/tranny bolts, comes from just above the wing nut on the clutch cable, you'll probly find the nut in front of the fan cowling in the engine bay....its a bit of a bugger to get to, so i'd get myself to a mech asap as you suggest....might be someone out your way who could whack it back in for ya?
