Interchange of doorsWill a 72 lowight cab door fit a 73 Bay with similar hinges, inner door handles etc?

Was just trying to work this out the other day with Peter Arnoldi.
It appears that all bay doors are ok to swap (or appear to be).
Of course there is is different door handles and locks etc (both interior and exterior).
I prefer later model mechs with the pull up and down interior lock and want to fit them on a low light (my low light ute has them already, so that made me think they are the same)

I think you are right- I put 73 doors -a crossover- onto 72 OK but just thought proper 73 may be different- I guess pull them off and have a look.

Later bay front doors had big holes / vents down the front of the door. located inside / hinge area. As far as I know low lights did not have these large vents which might be why lowlight doors rusted so badly as water that got inside the door could not evaporate away easily. I've seen late bay doors with the pull up & down lock mechs on a 71 bay before. Some part of the internal door opener handle is different between lowlight and later bay door as I wanted to put the inside chrome handles on my 75 bay doors but it wasn't possible. Can't remember why now, but I think the mounting plate on the actualy door was different. So in summary I beleive the whole door will interchange form any bay bus. But some parts of the internal latch mechs are not interchangeable between the different doors.
Brand new brazilain doors are available now - not sure if these have the ridge in them thou for the current new bay window kombi thats back in production there.
