hi katrina, its a 1977 just over the pits, new brakes and bearings, i had the motor rebuilt two years ago and resprayed its been a love of mine to restore it back to its original condition the only thing left to do to it is some work on the interior, runs like a dream, and i think i still have most of the paperwork for everything that has been tone to it including photoes of what it use to look like. its been in storage for two years and i am selling it very very reluctantly

AND the back is empty, how much would it cost me to buy a bed lounge fridge etc and get fitted??

Looks attractive-
Does he say who rebuilt motor and where it has been serviced?

This helps if youu can contact mechanice that look after it.

A member may be able to give it a check for you or someone may know it.

Mmmm, it looks like it could be ex-military.  If so, then it is likely to be in great condition.

It seems reasonable value - however, if you are after a camper rather than a microbus it might be cheaper to find one rather than convert an empty van.

There are companies that specialise in camper conversions - however, they are likely to be very expensive (as they usually work on $100k plus campers...).

With patience, though, it may be possible to find a cheapish interior second-hand, especially if you are not too fussed about appearance.

It is also possible to construct your own cupboards (or hire a cabinet maker).

Fridges, sinks, cookers etc are usually easy to find.  There are kits to convert bench seats into fold-out ("rock 'n' roll") beds.

An inspection by someone acquainted with "the usual problems" would be a great idea.

Good luck! Smile

Hey Katrina,
Looks good, but be aware that the photo is dated 31/01/2006. That's getting on for three years ago. A lot can happen in that time.
Good luck - Keith D

I think its a tad steep in price for no interior, looks good from the outside though, see how much he is prepared to lower the price by?

Get some Kombi nuts to go along with you, if you gonna check it out..
