hi KK people

Hi, I’m Kevin. I was a splitty owner;
Unfortunately this is the only picture I can find of the Kombi van I started my business with. Now some 35 years later and I still wonder where it is, has it survived, or has it been re-birthed or crushed but now most of all I wonder WHY did I get rid of it.
I have had many Vee Dubs throughout my life and have just acquired a Karmann Ghia, but my true love would be another split window Kombi.
I have been restoring the interiors of cars for 35 years have always had a passion for the VW brand.
Two of my daughters have followed my love for things VW my eldest owns a bay window and the youngest drives my 68 1500 bug.
Cheers.
Kev.

Welcome to KK Kev, your Ghia looks nice mate.  Yeah, I bet any splittie owner regrets ever selling their bus.  There are still some around.  If you arew in WA You should check the Split Bible in the splittie section you may find a picture of it....

If you are in Perth get out with us, as VLKSWGN said any VW or anyone with a love for VWs are more than welcome.....

At the bottom of message section when you type a post there is Attach under white section.

It is possibly easier to use Photobucket as you can repeat photos without trouble. You can just upload your pics and they will resize and then click on 4th (bottom) option and it will copy for pasting into message

Kev it me ages to realise how easy it is:

Once you have clicked reply or started a new post - just under the text box in Attach file written in blue and underlined.  Click on that and you are then able to browes your own files.  It is better to pre adjust the size of the image to a max of 800 x 600 preferably. Upload it.

This picture has no relevance, but it's a VW Frodlin (not seen one on here yet)  Can't wait to see your pictures.

You have a Private Message (look at top of screen) cheers

Hey I did it, cool. Don't know how I missed it.
This is the only pic i have of my splitty so if anyone recognises it please let me know, sorry about the trailer lights but I didn't fit them.
I will now get some pic's of the bay and 1500 for you  soon, but if you would like to check out my KG  in the meantime please go to www.trimtec.com.au  and click on the last project that’s my 61. Also feel free to browse the rest of the site to see more cars I have restored and rare parts I've made for the KG's.
cheers,
Kev.
