I went with Jay on Friday to see some progress on the resto of his splitty... he has some great plans for it and its gonna be a corker

They sure do!!! Unfortunately for me, the worst bits of my van were in the heart of her. Now she has (pretty much) a new chassis inc rails, outrigers, floors etc.
My panel beater alomst dropped her off the hoist the other day because the rust in one section of the rail was so bad- nice one?!?!
It's all coming together well though, I'm very pleased.
When is the next club get together?

Wow, that resto looks like a mirror image of mine, same replacement panels etc..... I bet you can't wait to go cruzin when it's done

I don't think it's that low really, it has been raised 1 inch as the front beam aint diggin the ride height.......Never bein bugged by the Copz, there are much lower buses than mine nockin around W.A.

I saw a pic of your van in the 'VW Magazine Australia' mag when you guys went for cruise to York or something. Really jealous!!!
I've got a narrowed/ adjustable Baywindow front beam with 2.5" drop spindles, disk brakes etc. Got the whole set up from Custom Bugs and Buses NSW. I'm looking to drop her to approx 125 to 150mm off the black stuff (measured from steering box).
Yeh, would like see your van in the flesh- where do I go?
