Glass removalHow do you removal all the glass for a complete colour change?
I've got a 1979 Bay Microbus with no quarter windows, and sliding windows on the middle.

Carefully- Basically you gently slip ordinary knife blade between seal and body and push- hand to have someone on outside in case they pop out quickly.
If you need new seals only use genuine if you can find or West Coast Metric.
Not home at moment to check more fully but will get back.

I recently changed my front two. Fortunately my rubbers are only 2 years old so this made it easier as they were very flexible still (I didn't have to renew them either) I cut wood to put on the inside of glass and gave them a meetie push with someone on the outside to catch them! (VLKSWGN) cheers.
When I did the rebuild i used the second option here:
If they are hard it might be best to cut them out with a blade and replace
Both options really need someone on the inside and out. Use lube (blue) or any that is rubber friendly.
In my experience the best rubbers come from www.wolfsburgwest.com
their service is good too. But you can source rubbers here in Oz But do try and get Wolfsburgwest stuff they appear to last longer in the sun.
Hope this helps

I got the windows out this weekend (sorry no photos of the process - I didn't want to hold up the two who were helping me).
I pulled down the rubber from the inside, just enough to get my finger in. Then I squirted some hand-cleaner in there (from the kitchen sink) and rubber it all along the top. The window then was not so hard to push out at the top at all, and the bottom lifted out easily with the top half out.
Easy two person job that way.
