Floor replacement

Floors in campers are fitted with strips to allow air circulation as you will see in photos below.
They are screwed in usually in about 9 places.
If you are replacing floor and it was screwed in before put new floor in and with fine drill go through original holes from underneath Kombi-this way you will not create anymore holes and drilling where you can't see will prevent screwing through wires, pipes etc.
Modern click together floors have not been successful because they can't get wet and even though a Kombi is very strongly built they still flex.
These are from original Sopru poptop converted from new and sold new through VW dealer in Melbourne. Some have many small strips which are placed in groups under timber floor.
