Wow! 200, what an honor.
I've a question for you all as I don't see many of these "Dusty Conditions Air Intakes" on buses.
Just where are the intakes on this bus? (photo from your site)
This photo is from the OCTO show in Feb, 08.
The white SC doesn't seem to have those scoops or any intakes that I can see.

Well done Fish, congratulations!!!
BTW, I would guess that the air intakes on the blue ute are after-market (I have never noticed them before...)

hi, on the white ute the roof has a double skin with the air intake in front of the fresh air intakes. the air for the engine passes through the double skin roof, down a double skin back panel and along a large box just under the tray and into the engine bay. this was the version for australia. there were other versions for other countrys of which the blue ute may be one. cant find any pics of the other versions right now. dave.

Thanks 66split, (aka Dave)
I have never seen that style of air intakes and had no idea there were that many different styles. I guess that is one more potential problem area to look at when purchasing a bus for restoration down there.
ute Single Cab?
Years ago a friend of mine here had a bus from Australia for a while. The only difference was it was RHD. We had fun driving it down the freeway with a spare steering wheel for the passenger. When a car was next to you whom ever was in the passenger seat would hold up the wheel like it just came off and the passenger in the car next to you would freak.

ute is short for utility vehicle. alot of words are shortened over here. the story i heard was that it was because of the flies and folk in the out back didnt want to have their mouths open for too long speaking long words
