I know it's a bit early in the year to start discussing this but some people need a bit of notice to get organised.

I am not the best at dates/maths but I reckon this year is the 60th anniversary of the kombi. I think it would be magic if we could get 60 buses (even better 60 splits (barndoors - but thats out of the question)) to attend in one big line up. It seems that every week another bus is completed or imported - so I personally don't think that it would be that hard to achieve. Some out there have "one" some have "some". Those with "some" get your Mrs/mates driving them down to make this the line up to remember.

Am I being over ambishious ??? Or is this possible.................

September 2007 was the 60th birthday of the Kombi so you had bettter  get 62  for the 2009 DOVW Smile

If all the WA splitties come out you would go close.

Brookie what does that date mean exactly - Is it the date when Ben Pon first sketched one.  Because I know that the press release was November 1949. The production started early 1950.  Details details.....

Lets hope to get over 60 that would be brilliant - Who needs an excuse anyway.  It will be great to see here in little Perth Wink

I think it is a great idea regardless of date and with a good lead time could be achieved.

Perhaps a mid year run on the Coastal strip to the Surf Club at Leighton , or similar venue,   could give an idea of numbers.
