BJ

Was picked up by Graham and Debbie at 9am in their Low Bay we drove to the local BP Servo to meet another good mate Richard and his Mrs Rachael also in their LL.  My sister and her fella and 2 kids also came in a Monaro! (we were in England).

Driving up the motorway

Sat in a short queue for 10 mins to get in bare in mind on a saturday morning it takes about 2 hours to get in the gate! It was amazing to be confronted by 1000's of cars (not all Veedubs - lots come for the entertainment)

One of the first Dubs to get on my camera was this split loaded with extras

The following picture captures only a 10th of the size of this event but hopefully you get an idea of the size and number of people that turn up.

There is so much to see and do here including shopping! There were a number of music stages, racing on the quarter mile track, show n shine, bars, eateries and stalls selling all sort of VW related goodies.  The minister of finance decided that we could (I could) spend as it was my birthday, $400 dollars later I had one heavy bag and box under my arm.  More on this part later (I will show and tell).  Here are some shots of what was there;

Show n Shine event was held that afternoon there where many nice vehicles parked in this section for judging (I would not like the job as a judge) but I reckon that there were loads more top quality motors in the camping areas; here is a selection;
