Bay fuel tanks into splittieIf you need to replace fuel tank in Splittie try and source an early Bay as it will fit without major work. Late Bay is larger and will need a lot of modification.

I'm just mid way through this conversion. Yep early bay fits with a 'squeeze'! - Bought the POR15 Fuel Tank repair kit from Auto 1 in Osborne Park for $112) comes with cleaners for pouring in to tank to clean out rust or debris etc, then pour in a sealant etc and allow to cure for a couple of days.
Will need to cut the filler neck off the splittie and use flexible tubing to run a new section to the bay tank, also need to lengthen the tank straps. Other than that all pretty cool and almost twice the capacity  Yay!

cool.....did you blokes add a breather to the neck?

yes routed the breather hose back up to the neck of the filler and welded a new piece into the neck and attached.
Patrick did the same tank swap but I think he just ran the breather hose up into the top vents and secured it?
