howdy
I purchased a set of 16 inch rims and tyres of evilbay
the pcd is the same as the Kombi
But has anyone had experience putting these on their bus
it seems that i need some machining to be done to the rim to fit excactly
Or is it easier using longer studs and spacer plates
Help its getting close to being finished
I want to drive it to alfreds Next month

I am pretty sure you need to machine the centre spigot a bit larger for Audi rims to fit.
Check the offset of the wheel (I think kombis ran 39 as standard)
Typically, an offset in the range of 39 to 42 seems to work fine on most bay kombis without spacers (and can take a slightly wider tyre) but the standard vw studs are not always suitable.
You can usually go 1 or 2 more either way with skinny tyres before you start to rub on the body or on the suspension components.
Spacers are generally frowned upon by boys in blue so are not recommended.
You will also need to check if the tyres that you have are the right rolling diameter to keep the speedo accurate too.
