Midlifecrisis · Anyone know a good Kombi mechanic in Adelaide

Hi all. At last I have found my Kombi after months of intense searching. I live in Perth but have to travel to Melbourne on Monday to collect my Kombi and am thinking of driving it to Adelaide and then getting it checked out before I continue on back to Perth across the Nullabor.

So does anyone know of a good mechanic who might be able to give her the once over before my treck, or is there any Kombi Konnection member who might be able to give her a look over for me early next week (about 17th or 18th Feb 2009)? Any assistance would be appreciated.

I was going to get a car carrying firm to transport the bus but the min price is $840.

Adeliade is a relatively short journey on your way back and I would be inclined to get service and check in Melbourne before you leave.
Piratekombi should be able to suggest someone.
It would also pay to join RACWA with max protection.

This place is in the northern suburbs of Melbourne, near the Northern Ring Road. Tell them where you are driving, and they will no doubt try to make sure it makes it without problem. Book early though, as they tend to be busy.
