Alfreds October

The pea and ham loop the loop was delicious (as usual), the burgers were out of this world.

BUT WHERE WERE THE KOMBIS ???????????? .... AND THEIR DRIVERS ????

Luckily, the honour of KK was upheld by just two (2) 1971 low lite bays !!!

It was great to meet up with Craig from Dianella, who caught up with a load of Members at Muresk.

Just stirring guys!!! - The weather was rather miserable and I guess there would have been a number who attended the Veedub Club Meeting in Vic Park. No photos from Guildford - sorry!  - Keith D

Sorry guys, the special meeting at the VW Club was called for the same night so at least 5 of us went to that.

We will be out in force next time though.
Mustard Man

I had planned on being there, after missing out on Mursek, but due to jet lag, when 7pm came along i was to be found fast asleep on the sofa, drooling and snoring with a VW Mag on my lap......

Can't wait for the next one mind.

Maharg, hi,

Where are your based at the mo?  Just because we drove to SPA once for the historics race too.  I pit crewed for a friend driving a TVR in the 6 hour endro, and its just such a great place to drive to, and when the clouds come over (which they invaribaly do) and the mist, etc.  ha, Good memories.

Well, see you at Alfreds then on the next meet.

We live in Hertfordshire which is just north of London, Junction 21 on the lovely M25 which i will definatley not miss.. Laughing

Spa was an awesome weekend, we have done the Vw spa trip twice now, first in our split panel and second in our early notch cruising both times with about 30 other uk mad vw drivers.... Very Happy.
One of the high lights of Spa weekend was they allowed you to do one lap of the track in your Vw.....awesome experience with great pics... Cool
I think its a shame the new owner of the spa race way doesnt allow this top weekend anymore.. Crying or Very sad  not that it will effect me as im on my way to a much hotter climate ... Laughing  Cool  Very Happy

Your experience of being in the pitts is irreplaceable, as Spa raceway is one of them places that everyone talks about and loves.

Yes you are right about the clouds...**** me does it rain there or what.... Exclamation  Exclamation  Exclamation

See you Alfreds then... Very Happy  Very Happy

Oh, i probs should have mentioned until a year ago i lived in oxford, uk, (and i do not miss the M25 one bit)
Pit wall at night, with huge V8s hammering down the hill, amazing.  But you got to do a lap.  WOW!!!!

You'll like Alfreds!  Not as huge a scene here as in the UK, but still a great crowd, and the best burgers money can buy!

Good luck with the trip
Rich
