A gas conversion for an air cooled Type 4 VW engineHere is alink to the thread about the gas conversion I had done on my 74 SC Ute ...... aka Wilfred!The difference is amazing and his gas conversion was done by Geoff Scott just outside of Maryborough. Here is the link to the engine section in the apprpriate place for tech stuff but I thought I had better post a general post in KK News about having such a conversion done. http://thekombikonnection.myfreeforum.org/about1718.html Here are Geoff's contact details if you ever wanted to talk to someone about converting an air cooled engine to gas. He has mainly worked on Type 1 engines but has overcome a lot of hurdles with having a vehicle solely on gas rather than share with petrol. I am very impressed with what Geoff has done and I am sure Col/Heretic can also comment on the success of Wilfred being converted over to gas. Cheers Brett |
