Don't know if I am in the right forum but I've been encouraged to share soChris and I are in Oregon on the way back from a 2 day trip to Washington to bring home a 78 Rivera which was at my dad's house. I had some SST pre trip snow driving but with a trailer behind and 4wd it wasn't the same. 70 miles at 15 mph and near white out conditions was intense but beautiful at the same time. We were the only ones on the road ( it was closed but oh well) in Mt. Ranier state park. The bus is better than I'd hoped with OG paint and very little rust. It has a very custom int and will get a paint job after Christmas.
Pictures tonight when we get home.me of my adventures.
Here's what I posted.
As Promised Pictures.
Started as sleet but really cool road.
Then it got a little worse
At Pop's house all loaded up.
On the road at Columbia river Gorge.
Cool sunset overlooking snow covered fields.
Now to unload and get some sleep! :hangloose:
Yup over Hwy 12 and 410, 123 was closed. This bus has the swivel front passenger seat. It was a sunroof bus that a guy put the Rivera top on and a late Westy interior in. He refaced the Westy Kitchen with some really cool veneer and I'm putting some T-4 front seats with adjustable armrests in. It has a spare 6 rib trans and is jam packed with spare parts. I am going to spend some of my turkey day going through my treasures. The engine dosen't even complete 1 revolution b efore it starts! You just turn the key and it's running. I was amazed, my dad would start it every week it was at his place and let it idle for 5 minits and ran it out of gas. I put some in at the gas station when the bus was on the trailer and for the fun of it turned the key. Dang it started! Pictures when I clean it out.
