66split

66splithi, thought i'd post a couple of pics of our bus. we have had it for about 4 years and brought it over here with us when we emigrated here in 2005. the outside is how we picked it up but really could do with a tidy up now. all it had was a rock and roll bed and grey saab seats. i put all the interior in back in the uk and had the saab seats recovered.
its running a 1.8 type 4 motor with twin 36 dells. rear creative irs and front brazilian disk brakes and spindles. plans for it are to tidy up the body work and get a better donk, then cruize, cruize, cruize. though its second in line to my '64 split ute which im in the middle of restoring. cheers, dave.

Nice bus.
How jealous you make people feel when you say this one is only second in priority. I wish my second looked that good.
Will have to check out the saab seats at Toodyay because I have been trying to work out if they would be ok for my bus for a while beacause they are a really comfy seat and I love the leather too.
I notice you have no cab divider, that may be a problem for me because I didn't want to loose that.
Did I drive pass you on Great Eastern Hwy two Saturdays ago, around Ascot?

dont think i was down that way the other sat. i have heard of another bus similar colour but have not seen it yet. yeah no divider, not done by me, bring a tape to measure how much room is needed. they are bolted to the floor with no adjustment. dave.

yeah you may have seen me about i live in alexander heights.
as for the handling it has a firm but comfortable ride and you dont get alot of body roll around corners. but it is fairly low and not really suitable for those unsealed corragated roads. but i'm happy with the set up. you are welcome to have a drive and see what you think of it. dave.
