Had a really cool weekend in Toodyay. It all started in Gigegannup at 1:30 on Saturday afternoon. Poppy and I were eagerly waiting at the servo to see who was gonna arrive. The first was Freckles then 66Split and Karl in his bay. We headed off and without insident had a lovely drive on a sunny day to Moondyne caravan park. This is a quiet friendly place with clean facilities and plenty of room to park - Perfect for kombi gatherings! 30 mins after we got settled Graham arrived in his split, we had a couple of beers and a chin wag
We then headed into town for a feed at the Freemasons. That evening back at the campsite we star gazed, told stories and bad jokes (Dave). On sunday Karl departed, we were then joined by Kim, Jean, Alex, Shane and his family at the Coke Cafe fro a breakfast. Then 66split had to leave as Karl didn't have a door key!
The Town was closed to cars as it was Toodyay Day there were people in costume, vendors selling stuff, the MG car club had a display a band etc
We headed to Race course to meet "Blue", Brookie and Westair for 10:30
to checkout the facilities (see Brookies post) it was exciting to see the place and it will be perfect for Toodyay2008
On they way home Shanes DC (Colin) desided to misbehave,
He managed to crawl home up all those hills on 3 barrels. He did the right thing by getting the family home safe and sound all be it a bit under powered
I had a great time. Thanks to all those that made it, and to all those who couldn't, there's always a next time

What a great day,
thanks for making us feel so welcome.
Really looking forward to October, we have booked in for Fri and Sat night at Moondynes ( in a cabin).
"Ruby Dear" felt at home and was proud to be in the convoy.
We also did the Fairbridge run the weekend before and met "Way 2 Cool".
