Hello Again!
With my girlfriend and our VW Argentinian 85 Kombi named "El Grillo", made a travel to the Tierra del Fuego Island, in the south of Argentina.
The adventure was really amaizing! we spent 20 days from Buenos Aires to the end of the 3 road, in Tierra del Fuego. We made a trip along the island ant then we went to the Glaciar Perito Moreno in "El Calafate", Santa Cruz.
Then the engine start to make an awfull noise, like a "Clanck" and loose power, so we have to finish the trip in bus, but really happy for our adventure.
Now i´m waiting mi kombi (It´s traveling on a Truck to my city) to desassembly the engine and find the trouble.
I hope you can understand my letter! I repeat, I have to practice my poor english, but i want to tell you about our trip because it was amaizing for us!!!

Tierra Del Fuego in Kombi! They passed many things from the last entrance to the Blog, but I will deal to be rigorous with the story of the events to be able to narrate in form ordinate to them as they went away giving the facts. Tierra Del Fuego in Kombi turned out to be a unique experience; to lose to us and to intermingle to us in fueguinos landscapes were as to give him to an ideal frame to our Kombi of beauty and adventure. After to cross the way to San Pablo we continued by Route 3, and like good kombinautas that we are we could not stop helping to an exhausted Valencian cyclist approaching it km until the town of Tolhuin. Tolhuin, that in Selk´nam language means " Corazón" to be in center of the Island, it is a small town dedicated mainly to the sawmills and the tourism. One is closely together of the head of the Fagnano Lake, that enormous internal sea that divides in to the two island and of which almost does not know its depth. We encamp near lagoo in the place " Lagoon of the Indio" and we dedicated ourselves to enjoy the beautiful fueguinos forests. When registering us in the Camping I consulted the one in charge to him about if the lamps worked that were distributed in the same, and perhaps with a small smile it said to me that yes, that they ignited awhile at night. The graceful thing of the case is that we lay down to 12 still with clarity by our location so to the south at night! and about the 1 in the morning, half slept, we ***reflxed mng cuiando ignited the lights of the camping. On the following day we continued towards Ushuaia doing scales in the Hidden Lake, the winter Garibaldi Step and some centers. The landscape from Rio Grande to Ushuaia changes drastically to each passage of only 220km that separates the cities, becoming each you see greener when approaching to us and crossing the mountain range of the $andes to arrive definitively at Ushuaia, next to the Channel of Beagle. The Garibaldi Step is a mountain passage with many curves and precipices. In winter one becomes dangerous by the accumulation of ice and snow, but in summer it is a calm stroll if one respects the terminal velocities and the signals of dangerous curves. Kombi did not have inconvenient majors in the ascent since the climbed one long but is not very pronounced. After this step already everything is to descend towards the Capital of Tierra Del Fuego. Our objective to arrive at the aim of Route 3 was each you see close more. Ushuaia appears after mountains like an explosion. Just by to give to return to the last mountain the first glance shows the Channel of blue Beagle with that intense one that characterizes to waters of the south, and when continuing turning the city it appears with his characteristic location on slopes of mountains and the channel. Tourists, transit, purchases… all pushed to us outside the same to follow way towards the national park Tierra Del Fuego, still by route 3 but with debris. And he was so our Cricket arrived until the most austral city of the world and at the end of Route 3, to 3240km approximately of the Capital of our Country. I believe that then we did not get to today quantify valuable of the fact… the days later and reviewing the photos we fall in which the spread of the adventure is only mensurable to the dreams and possibilities of the adventurers; and for us and our Cricket this passage has been a trip worthy to belong to best histories of our life. _________________ Kombis Keep you Younger
