I have been looking around for a little while dreaming of getting a kombi, no money, too expensive, over east I'm sure that you have all been through it. As fate would have it while waiting for someone to turn into their drive way a bone head not concentrating on the road decided to see if he could get the rear end of my car closer to the front and ran into the back of me. He succeeded and the back end of my santa fe was about 2 feet closer to the front of my car
Insurance wrote it off and paid me a fair some of money . Spent the last few weeks seriously looking , racked up a few K's from port kennedy to Yanchep.. Found a 1976 bus.. needs work but look reasonable sound.
So for me the dream has become a reality, it may become a reality check once I find out how much work and cash it is going to cost me. Engine/trans, under body, steering in good condition. Body has some rust and needs a paint job and interior work out.. So I guess I am going to be busy for a few months..
I will try and get some photos.. before during and after.

76 8 seater poptop, resto'd in a fashion
Aaaaah, now that looks like a good score....! - a little shabby looking, so the price is kept low, but solid and rust-free with heaps of potential... great find!
Interesting wheels (and steering wheel)... I am looking forward to seeing the resto progress - good stuff! .. Oh, and congratulations!
