Hi there

Im trying to fit a steering wheel to my 72 Beetle. The streeting wheel came off another Beetle so should slip straight on but have a small problem.

When I fit it I cant seem to get the wheel to fit flush and have a 1/4 inch gap left as the picture shows below.

How would I get it to fit properly?

Cheers
Rob

Bit hard to when we are only on 31.3Kbps but top end sounds very rattly.

Does noise alter under load>

Alternator or generator pulley just left of oil filler in this 1600 motor schematic

Try and run for a few seconds with belt off- that will isolate it if it is generator pulley.

Should not be a problem- Kurt could have one or Volkswest or Auto Europe.
See Recommended Repairers.
