Rawdyn produces the great Splitty calendar and has had fall and is in hospital

Post from DSK- DOVW Cranbourne probelm is solved but not sure what Michelle is doing about Perth DOVW- Rawdyn had asked for someone to help out there.

Hi Everyone,

It's Rawdyn's wife Michelle here. Rawdy had a fall yesterday and is in hospital for at least a week.

I've made arrangements to be at Day of the Volkswagen with the 2009 Calendars, but I'm hoping somebody can drive Granny down there first thing in the morning and back to Brighton sometime later that afternoon.

I have an extra car that I can drive to ferry people back if the same person can't drive Granny down in the morning and back in the afternoon.

Rawdyn will be in the hospital a lot so his mobile might not always be on but just ring and leave a message if you are able help me.

Yeah get well soon.

Can't offer Granny a lift there as I am working all morning but hope to get there after work at around 1pm but I haven't been before so I'm not sure of times of entry etc but if I do go I can deffo give her a lift back. Sorry I can't give anything more concrete.

Hey Folks,

Thought I'd let you all know I'm still kicking.

Sadly I missed DOTVW Vic but Michelle (thanks to John IN2VWs) took Granny down and got some calendars out the door. I notice Granny didn't make the cut for the photos of the Vic day Wink

Looks like the WA event was a cracker too. Hope to make it to next years (calendars in hand).

I was in hospital as I tripped over (my own toe) and ruptured a disc which (partially) oozed into my spinal column and caused all sorts of nerve trouble from the waiste down.

In the end they cut me open from belly button to hip, got all my insides out of the way and put in titanium moveable disc. Fortunately they remembered to put everything else back in too.

I am still in rehab but luckily it is only located around the corner so I am allowed to sleep at home.

Thanks for the kind wishes folks. Sorry I didn't make it over with the calendars this year.
